(could make an arguement for 2021 Gambit and 2023 EG but both missed the first LAN whereas SEN/Fnatic made every one, alfa, semen1, and aspas could contest jingg for 2023)

I feel like if you want to say one player for the entire year it’s gotta be Demon1 because he was a rookie in the beginning coming into a super poorly rated EG and managed to be the spear of the team that turned into world champs.

im not talking story line though, im talking about who had the most statistical impact and it was barely jingg imo, demon1 wasnt even at lock in too which takes away from best of the year

If you want statistics there’s nothing more clear than comparing EG’s results without him to their results with him. No other one individual player has ever improved a team so much. Sorry for the Demon1 glaze I’m not even a fan, I just think it would make the most sense for player of the year.

demon1 went 1.09 in tokyo (just alright) and went nuclear champs, wasn't even at lock-in
if we're looking at player of the YEAR I just don't think it's right to include a player just because he stepped up late in the year.

did u see the video comparing all the stiatistical categories to determine the best player of 2023, thats kinda what i based mine off of, dont mean to just mirror his judgement but it was a really good video, u should check it out
i think vlr rating alone doesnt do as much as it heavily favors baiting which will of course favor leo

yeah ok that's fair. alfajer has better stats besides dpr. I still think Leo was better overall but I'm a Sova main simp. I think putting either is completely fair.

He was the third best player on his own team and pretty much a raze one trick.

F0rsaken and something much better and that is not even taking into account the players on EG and FNATIC

for me 2021 is Gambit and Nats, Sentinel can't keep up at all after Reykjavik while Gambit made two GF appearance and win one.
