whats border between matchfixing and saving strats

for example:
grand final match which doesnt mean anything except seeding which arguably give u an easier bracket
how do u tell?

well grand final gives you circuit points + a trophy (something for team and player's career achievements) so teams won't be saving much strats but teams will ultimately try to save AND win matches (IF they are even saving any strat).

They might save strats but they probably are still going full out in terms of mechanical skill
