Rb's Titan spoils JDG debut

JDG got off to a red-hot start on Lotus with stew proving why he deserved to be re-signed with multikills aplenty. A 6-3 lead for JDG on the attack ensued before Titan began to pick up the pace.

Titan proceeded to go on a nine-round streak, completely flattening JDG to hit map point and lead 12-6. Despite stew's server topping 24 kills, JDG appeared deflated and mustered just two rounds before Titan took the lead in the series with a 13-8 map victory.

While stew was the only player to find a positive K/D on the first map for JDG, Titan could look toward the trio of kawaii , QiuYe , and Rb to deliver results. The trio ended the game each with ACS scores greater than all of JDG aside from stew.

Bind started similarly to Lotus with JDG taking another comfortable lead in the half but this time guaranteed themselves an advantage heading onto their attack with an 8-4 scoreline. JDG's play was once again spearheaded by an excellent performance from stew.

Another late-game streak of rounds from Titan followed as Rb's squad acquired a 10-8 lead before JDG could pick up their first offensive round. Despite Titan narrowly making it to match point first at 12-11, a 1v3 clutch from Viva forced overtime.

JDG struck first before an ace from Rb evened up the map at 13-13. Both teams proceeded to trade blows before a second overtime ace, this time coming from Abo , gave Titan the necessary momentum to once again complete a comeback and close out the map 16-14 and the series 2-0.

Titan could thank Abo and Rb for their opening win, with the pair recording 28 and 26 kills respectively on the final map while also providing an ace each in overtime to close out Bind. Although JDG may have taken a loss, stew put up an admirable performance with 59 kills across the series, 17 ahead of runner-up Rb.

Titan will proceed to the winners match of Group B and are one series away from the playoffs, while JDG have been relegated to the elimination match.

vo0kashu continues domination with win over All Gamers

VCT Ascension China 2023 champions Dragon Ranger Gaming made their debut with a 2-0 win over All Gamers. Russian sentinel vo0kashu has continued to impress within the Chinese scene and was the driving force behind his team's success. DRG have made two roster changes since Ascension with Singaporean Zeno being dropped and YuChEn moving from a playing to a coaching position. DRG started off strong on Sunset with a pistol win and anti-eco conversion but faltered in the coming gun rounds. A slow start from vo0kashu gave way to a 7-3 lead for All Gamers before DRG could fully activate.

A comeback ensued in the second half as DRG looked much more comfortable on the offense with vo0kashu being given room to thrive. The Russian star provided 27 kills to close the map 13-11 for his team, despite significant competition from Bunt who dropped 28 kills of his own in the map loss.

DRG operated as a well-oiled machine on their own map pick, Ascent, with the entire squad stepping up alongside vo0kashu. TvirusLuke provided consistent multi-kills and openers that were successfully capitalized upon by DRG. All Gamers were never able to string together rounds in the first half as the momentum only continued to build for DRG as the Ascension champs cruised to a 9-3 half.

This deficit proved to be too much for All Gamers as they could muster just a single round in the second half as DRG ended the series 2-0 in dominant fashion with a 13-4 win on Ascent. All Gamers were simply never able to show up on the final map.

DRG have made it to the Group B winners match and will face off against Titan Esports Club for a spot in the playoffs, while All Gamers have been relegated to an elimination matchup against JD Gaming.

Wolves decimates hope for BLG redemption with 2-0

Wolves started off Ascent with pure domination as pl1xx's KAY/O ran rampant throughout the map. BLG proved incapable of stringing together consecutive rounds, while the momentum continued to build for Wolves.

A pistol round win and failed second-round force out of Wolves provided a modicum of hope for BLG, however, the lead built up by Wolves seemed insurmountable as two excellent entries from Spring resulted in the map win 13-9. pl1xx was a force to be reckoned with a server-high 284 ACS and 21 kills and despite Spring's overall poor performance, the Taiwanese Jett delivered the two most crucial kills to swing the final round in Wolves' favour.

Wolves moved onto their map pick, Icebox, with a 1-0 series lead and took an explosive start with a 1v2 pistol win from COLDFISH. BLG stabilized in the gun rounds before a thrifty win off the back of a slow B take tied up the game at 3-3. Back-to-back 3k's followed from pl1xx to return the lead to Wolves at 5-4. Wolves carried this slight boost to end the half narrowly ahead with a 7-5 scoreline.

A second pistol win and bonus round conversion from Wolves extended their lead to 10-5. A near-flawless defense ensued for Wolves as BLG were unable to find an answer for the slower defensive playstyle their opponents presented. Wolves found themselves on map and series point at 12-5 before BLG managed to take their first attacking round. A double-kill opener from pl1xx with the Judge provided enough relief for Wolves to close out the map with a comfortable 13-7 scoreline and the series 2-0.

Wolves will play EDward Gaming in the Group C winners match for a spot in the playoffs.

BLG await the losers of the aforementioned match in the Group C decider and are one series away from elimination.
