Bilibili disrespect

i've seen some cn rankings for this year and in almost all of them bilibili is considered a wildcard and not even top 5, why is that? they only got better from the team that made champs playoffs..

bcs they've been pretty lackluster in the cn evo series i guess

like kaesra said it's likely because of their bad results in evo, but now that they've made changes + the old bilibili coach is back, the team should see success for sure

They haven't beat a Tier 1 CN team since October, and you could even argue that is chalked up to it being right after Breeze being put into the rotation. Granted the demon of rin is gotten rid of, but the whole Yosemite being absent for a bit definitely messed up the flow of their team. Not saying they can't turn it around but they haven't looked stellar going into this year.

Their champs run was a fluke they played terribly during every China evolution tournament. The only people who rate them highly are the ones who only follow what happened at Champs and not what happened in the Chinese leagues

Them not being able to win against other CN teams who have less experience (e.g. TEC, DRG). Also they picked up a new 5th player (B3ar) who‘s now igling. People don’t know if it’s goona work the way BLG expects it to

I think they are just pretty mid compared to all the teams in tier1. If I were to rank the 44 teams I’d probably put them like #41

They been bombing put at the Chinese Evo series during off season. Idk if they figured it out but as it stand they're not really even top 5.

recency bias ngl....my faith is restored after they got rid of Rin and Jexen back as the coach, although its hard to say if thats enough to beat the likes of JDG,FPX,TE,etc.

Personally there are several reasons why I see Bilibili as a sort of a "wildcard" right now, some point to a positive future while others point to a slightly darker one.

Good:
Jexen is back, rin is out (he was not an amazing player and I can't imagine him being a positive morale booster either 🗿)
B3ar is in, will IGL. This gives Biank who has a lot of mechanical skill to play a bit more freely.

Bad:
Haven't finished top 4 in either of the CN Evo tournaments.
Got beat x2 by TEC (a team that had only been playing together for two weeks at most)
Got beat by DRG
Looked pretty weak in general in comparison to CN Champs qualifiers and Champs.
Other teams look super stacked: EDG, JDG, TE, FPX, DRG, etc

So yeah realistically speaking if we go off of recent performances they're a top 5-8 team.

Blg are frauds
