It's literally the same thing though because every team is gonna play one another the difference is whether they play that team stage 1 or 2 or if they qualify for playoffs. That's why they have 5 matches for each stage and not 10.
i feel like this format goes toe to toe with Jp? or Kr region back in 2021 where they had a SINGLE ELIMINATION system in challengers when everyone had double. or maybe im overreacting because i prefer 2023 format

How so? Stage 2 is teams playing with other teams in their own group. They get to play against every team in the year

well dumbass idiot stage 1 and 2 are almost completly different tournament, stage 1 for shanghai, compared to last year thats so different idiot, stupid.
No it’s not it’s the same thing but divided the matches into two stages which is different to last year where it was only one round robin group
