Riot is stupid

Players feel like there aren't enough games. Kickoff playoffs are single elim yet have massive implications for the rest of the year.

Can kill 2 birds with one stone here. Yet riot refuses too. Stupid company.

I did some basic math, and the most matches a team can play in kickoff is 4 matches of bo3, 2 matches of bo1, and 1 bo5 in only 9 days ( it's still unknown if the play-in is bo3 or bo1 chances are it;'s bo3) . Besides, kickoffs have less impact compared to IL since each match they win won't give them any points.

valorant could actually have a chance at being the most popular esport if it was ran the same way as CS. i'd be surprised if CS orgs aren't more profitable than valorant orgs too, so i highly doubt that org sustainability is the biggest reasoning for the franchising bullshit

this format is very flawed, mostly due to how weird working with 11 teams is. formats should be more promising once leagues cap at 12 teams, but that's still a year away so we just have to suffer for now 🤷‍♂️
