- no jinggg
- No local talents
- signing T2 players from the big league 🗿
- glazing mid players
Imagine a perfect matchup where there are no APAC teams left in the playoffs.
APAC welcome to the big league (AMERICAS VS EMEA)
🫵🤡🤡🤡🤡
As much as this is a shit post you're not exactly...wrong I guess? Let's look at the facts of these teams
Worst Lan performance of any region: Their best team was never as good as EG or FNC, and DRX had a pretty meh year. Loud was better, EDG was better and at individual times they were behind NRG and TL. The third best team in T1 never made it past groups, and their LCQ team was a disaster. It's pretty obvious they were a step behind in 2023. Now in 2024.
PRX: just lost their best player, still will be very good but Jingg had absurd impact that will be very obvious when we watch them starting out
DRX: Are entering a (much needed) rebuild, will likely be a touch weaker this year
T1, GE, TLN, BLD are all grabbing imports instead of T2 talent
Zeta GenG RRQ all made upgrades, but they still lack star players that many NA or EMEA teams have
And TS and DFM are set to be mediocre again
There's so little excitement in this region outside of maybe Zeta and Bleed. Most teams imported from elsewhere, and the best teams look objectively weaker in the short term.
The best rated T2 players like YESicaN, Juicy, exy, Kr1stal, Kadoom, Famouz and stew were not allowed to play/not signed for one reason or the other. Instead their teams went for T2 NA and EU players. Seems like a bit of a waste year in the region when teams like FNC, EDG, NRG, SEN, LEV and Navi all look like they're getting stronger and stronger.
as much as your post has truth but they are in a better situation than america.
worst lan performance than pacific. their best team was only eg at later stage of the year. underperformances from loud and nrg from their usual best. they lost to prx who you say was never good as eg or fnatic with a content creator gekko one trick. their lcq team was bad as zeta. Fns best igl in the world and som one of the best player isnt playing
EG: in a financial crisis. might have a completely new roster
Loud: lost their best players and replaced it with qck
Nrg : waiting on eg situation. even their best scenario is a team that will take time to get good.
c9 100t mibr kru needed to downgrade for different situations.
only teams thats gonna be exciting are g2 lev and sen.
their best team looks objectively weaker in the short term. also mismanaged by the region overpaying their okay talent instead of developing their best talent that why their good talent go to good region like emea and pacific example rossy , narrate and much more awhile some of their tier 2 talent cant even complete with tier 2 of pacific as example governor.
seem like a waste bit of a year in the region.
I still think you have to look at the ceiling of each region and see that LEV has the closest team we have to a super team that isn't FNC rn. We can run in circles about how teams will place next year, but NA has a really high ceiling with 4 teams. LEV looks like a super team, the CEILING(very important word here) of SEN and NRG's rumored roster is insanely high. Loud still has a top 3 IGL ITW, no matter the roster Saadhak is taking them to LANs. Then you add on G2 being the best ascended team and 100T adding their first good IGL since they were a top 8 team ITW and we have really high ceilings. I see UP TO(UP TO) 6/11 teams that have super high ceilings with championship level players. I see MAYBE 2 of those in APAC. I do think some teams in Americas will struggle, EG will obviously tank, Loud probably isn't as good, MIBR KRU are both bad and C9 and Furia probably aren't championship teams, but are they any different than T1? The consensus 3rd best team in APAC? If I had to place 8 bets right now on what 8 teams from these 2 regions I think would win Champions, 6 of my 8 would be from Americas. I'm betting on Aspas, Saadhak, Sen's ceiling, the ENRG mix, G2's cohesion and Boostio over T1 or Bleed type teams. I don't think that is a crazy statement either. IMO America has the most depth of contending and ceilings, and obviously some will crash or burn, but wouldn't you rather have the team with the ceiling to be elite? 6 of these teams will have LAN winners on them, with proven ceilings, 0 APAC teams have LAN winners.
it seems the world has forget what a superteam is. from what i know a superteam having 3 or more players being the one of the best in the world. u can say that for king and aspas. but tex nzr and mazino has yet to prove themself to call it a superteam. na has a good rumoured nrg roster that we dont know how likely it is. only good championship roster i see is sen g2 loud lev currently. it seem you clearly overestimate your teams because i dont see 100t as a championship level. even with boostio that they struggle to get. also apac didnt had the foundation of esport in early stage of their careers like na and eu had because they got good players from other games. that why they struggle in the early stage of their career. and still struggle because they dont have experience igl as the game is very new. but we will see. so i dont see the point of having lan winner narrative when we are talking about future. alot of lan winners get washed with time. good luck to both region but i think u guys are deffo overestimating your region. they might still be the best but they dont have the depth as before without som , fns and eg not being here.
Again my whole points were about the teams ceilings. I don't think 100T is going to win a championship, but whose ceiling is higher? The one whos igl just won a LAN and has Cryo, Asuna type players or a team like T1 starting Rossy and iZu? And the NZR disrespect is crazy, if you change NZR's name to cloud you'd be calling it one of the best teams in the world, and he and NZR are the same type of player. Super good initator for a long time that hasn't played anywhere that is elite. There's no denying that LEV's ceiling is higher than that of any non-PRX apac team, and I still think their realistic floor (25% of strength on the bell curve) is higher than most teams as well. The whole point is comparing the strength between the two regions and my whole point is that NA has soooo many more teams with championship potential and looking at any APAC team outside of PRX and saying they would be betting favorites to win the Americas league would be disingenuous.
just say u dont watch apac tier 2 if u say izu name. theres nothing wrong because its a different timezone alot of games. everyone wont be watching its understandable. just cos a region is more clouted it doesnt mean they are better. it seem you keep overrating 100t players. u said cryo name understandable but the fact u said asuna type players. asuna hasnt been good for 1 year. nzr disrespect isnt crazy. cloud has proven it in the masters/champs against good teams. i agree hes super good but hes not one of the best. i didnt say cloud is one of the best too. A super team is BEING ONE OF THE BEST IN THEIR ROLES. i am just saying your overestimating your regions. thats all. they are still the best but not as good as they were last year in term of depth.
