In a clash of brothers, Jason ‘ f0rsakeN ” Susanto of Paper Rex and Kevin “ xccurate ” Susanto of T1 went head to head on Saturday with a trip to the AfreecaTV Valorant League Grand Final on the line. This reunion was their first ever rendezvous in Valorant, with their previous encounters taking place in CSGO.
“So a message to my little brother: be ready. You always say you're better than me VALORANT, but I will keep up to you and then I'm going to beat you 100%,” said xccurate before the match.
The first map of the game took the two teams to Sunset. T1 began on attack and quickly accumulated a 5-0 lead. Showcasing a Yoru/Raze double duelist comp, Sayaplayer and iZu helped their team build up a strong start on their attacking side. However, PRX would come storming back with five straight round wins to tie the scoreline at 6-6 by halftime.
Riding the momentum on their own attacking side, PRX only dropped one round in the half and finished Sunset with a 13-7 victory. To no surprise of the fans, Jinggg sat at the top of the scoreboard with 21 kills on his patented raze, followed closely behind by something on Gekko. T1 was just never able to get it going in the second half despite 18 kills from sayaplayer. Despite playing map one, jinggg did not play the second map, as Monyet returned to the starting lineup.

T1 looked to regroup on their map pick of Lotus, and were off to a great start after winning the opening pistol round. Despite their weaker weaponry, PRX immediately answered back by winning their eco round, and finished the half up 9-3.
The map was once again a dominant win for PRX as they dropped only five rounds en route to a 13-5 win.
Something led the way across both maps with 36 kills and an ACS of 259. The matchup between f0rsakeN and xccurate left a lot to be desired as both players struggled and finished with ratings below 1.
Paper Rex advances to the Grand Final to set up a BO5 rematch with Sentinels tomorrow. T1 is eliminated from the tournament after showing promise with their new roster here in Korea.
