Lol , when Steel was dropped i wasnt that depressed coz i thought maybe w could see Asuna Dicey duo again but these 100t mfs didnt even look at Dicey ever again
I think the same will happen with Steel , he is a substitute just for the contract and shit so he doesnt go in any other roster and they will just drop him from their roster at a time when nobody will want him

The way they both went out was different. In steel's case i think he took a backseat on his own terms. 100T wouldnt drop him from the roster after that performance in masters 3. So he will probably come back later after he sorts out his issues

mixwell didnt like playing jett if i remember correctly, its just that he was the best jett on his team at the time so he was forced to it. once they got a jett main he moved to the agents hes comfortable with.

The Steel "subsititute" is a contractual term, he is done with 100T (for better or worse, honestly not sure yet), I am still not sure how I feel about the move. I think that the people calling the shots have probably realized how much not having a jett op has hurt them, considering they often struggle against teams that use one (see: Envy, Sentinels, Gambit, Acend). Steel is known for a slow and methodical IGL style which definitely pairs better with a single duelist comp with more support. Letting Nitr0 take over IGL duties will allow them to use a more aggressive playstyle, as well as free up a roster place for someone else to come in and revise the overall team comp (potentially implementing 2 duelist comp on more maps). Eager to see how this all plays out in LCQ because I really do think it could work, but one thing I do know is that this is a very ballsy "all-in" move so close to LCQ
