She wasn't great, but it's also because people didn't know how to play her whatsoever. If we had beta viper rn she'd still be about as strong as she is currently, if not stronger. Ult and orb are better than currently, smoke lasts longer and recharges faster, but wall's decay is effectively zero and mollies are the same. During beta viper also had a far worse map pool than today, in split, haven, ascent and bind. Another thing of note is that in beta everyone's abilities were stronger, i.e. cypher trips stay up after death.

if we had beta viper rn she'd still be about as strong as she is currently, if not stronger.

disagree. her wall couldnt go through walls which would make her significantly more unviable on a lot of maps. especially without decay

the molly didnt decay, lasted shorter, and was smaller. u couldnt place the ult. the toxin screen would just not work if u tried to shoot it through a wall
