No get out of jail free movement card. The little “E” signature ability is very impractical. For example, in scenarios where 2 enemies are shooting @ you; and let’s say you kill 1. Anyone w/ a brain is not shooting the damn orb above the dead carcass of the first guy, they will just try to transfer and kill the second because by the time your little shield activates from shooting the orb it’s already gone since the other opponent is shooting you.
- the best duelists, Jett and Raze (Reyna to an extent in certain maps) are used so often because they have that ability to get one and get out if needed, all you have to do against ISO is just hold down left click and he’s dead
-
The “Q” vulnerabilities in reality should probably be flashes, because it just doesn’t really seem like a duelist ability if we’re being honest.

The wall is a decent ability for specific situations but not all because of the lack of control and width, but I think it’s fine where it is (otherwise it would just be a better harbor). Would definitely be good on haven, maybe lotus. Maps like breeze definitely wouldn’t really suit this ability with so many different defender angles

The ult lowkey ehh I’m ngl. There are so many scenarios where this would just suck in general but let’s start with positives.
- stalls the post plant by taking out let’s say the KJ on a retake before they can ult (and vice versa on defense) but can easily be countered if your opponents are smart and try to stand in front of the KJ so they get taken instead (since the ult takes the closest proximity enemy)
- low time and 1v1 post plant. The animation and time before the barriers drop in the ult (3s?) will buy you extra time even if you get clapped
- take out judge campers if you know they’re going to be nearby for an easy 1v1 win
Negatives:
- if you’re in a 1v2, it honestly doesn’t matter if you kill the first guy because even with your little orb after coming out of the ult, the enemy already knows where you are and just waits for you like a Phoenix ult. Only difference is that they can’t knife you but they are already pre-aiming at you and unless they’re silver, they just have to hold down the shoot button and you’re dead.
- while not exactly a 50-50, more like a 55-45 because you get two walls to the enemy’s one wall off the start to play around, if your opponent is better this could easily put your team at a numbers disadvantage with no lasting damage or effects done to the enemy. You would just have to hope your team is holding the spawn point of the enemy but by that time their teammates would already draw your teams attention by fighting them which just sucks.
- a good op player’s wet dream. They simply hold the edge of your walls and when you swing it’s a free kill for them.
Overall thoughts:
Probably won’t be used much in pro play, mostly a comp agent. Also would have to be paired with another duelist to find good entry value (or double initiator with flashes)
