so i recently moved into a new home and set up wifi the other day. every one of my devices is able to connect to the wifi perfectly (phone, ps5, switch, etc.) all except my computer. for some reason the wifi either doesn’t show up at all or it does and when it connects it shows as having 1 bar and says “connected, no internet” . I don’t understand why this is happening. lmk if u guys know anything

Using wifi on windows is shit. If one problem goes away another one pops up. Try network reset and drivers uninstall/install. If then also problem is there better use Lan cable.

I will try the uninstall/install tomorrow. thank you!! I also did try to use an ethernet cable but it just wouldn’t work for me. idk if it’s cause i wasn’t connecting it to the right thing or whatever but idk.

besides checking windows maybe take in mind where your router is located, if it's a distance away or blocked by stuff the signal could be weakened, using a LAN cable is usually best.

i had this problem before and kinda had the same situation too when it came to setting up on a new home. all i did to fix it was to go on device manager and uninstall the wifi adapter then restarted. instant fix

The problem usually exists (if your pc is older than 2yrs) most likely because your battery's life is coming to an end and the battery is unable to completely power your WIFI adapter which is causing the issue you're currently facing. You can try out the below-mentioned fixes.

Fix 1: WIndows+X, go to device manager, then to network adapters expand it and then right click on the wireless adapter option then update the driver.
Fix 2: If it is already updated go to network and internet settings and click on network reset, then reboot your pc.(Also you can uninstall your wifi adapter and reboot your pc but there is a chance where it might not work and you will lose your wifi adapter and then you have to reinstall it or choose pc recovery option)
Fix 3: If that doesnt solve go for LAN if you have the option.
Fix 4: If you cant use LAN buy an external Wifi Adapter it usually costs less than 10€.

It's a pretty shitty problem, I suggest u buy an ethernet cable, I did the same and haven't had any problem for 2 years +. Then if u have any problem it's mostly becuz of the network itself, not ur device

Try resetting network and login again or you can just reinstall wifi drivers
