a wild stat I found a while ago after reading the 'plumbers and milkmen' about that SEN run.
during that run SEN played 15 opponents (Fnatic twice) of those 15: 6 are currently franchised, 6 were competing in ascension this year, 2 didnt make ascension but were competing in tier2, and 1 retired.
the way the game is played as a team has undeniably changed, but they were not playing in some knights weekly versus a group of 16 year old immortal players. the player quality was there
EU r legitimately a 1 team region full of mechanical aimers who never have a good read on the meta except for FNC. Americas has so much great talent and even if you r dense and separate NA from the Americas region but won’t let CIS be separate from EU NRG and EG still diff any team other than FNC and they can still beat them
