RRQ came into the series off of just narrowly missing the VCT Pacific playoffs despite showing considerable improvement over the course of the regular season.
On the other hand, Global Esports have experienced several roster disruptions coming into the LCQ with WRONSKI recently announcing his retirement and assistant coach Spin stepping in for head coach Eraser .

The series began on GE's pick of Split and the individuals for RRQ quickly cemented their place in the server. While xffero and Lmemore racked up frequent multi-kills in the first half to take an early lead for their team, duelists EJAY and Emman excelled in the second half.
The quartet of players ended the first map with a combined average ADR of 145, with the final member of the squad, fl1pzjder , picking up two clutches for his team en route to a secure 13-10 map win.
The second map of Ascent was much of the same from RRQ, with EJAY performing wonders on Jett. With 27 kills, 180 ADR, and a 1.43 rating, EJAY proved his worth amongst the plethora of formidable duelists in the region.
RRQ was firing on all cylinders against GE as every member of the team provided considerable impact throughout the relatively convincing series win.
“I think I played really well… it's my best performance so far,” said EJAY.
Despite the loss, Monyet provided a strong showing across both maps. With a 1.29 rating and multiple hero plays across both maps, the Indonesian youngster serves as a shining light amongst GE's dim 2023 season.
RRQ move on in the LCQ
RRQ moves on in the LCQ to play ZETA DIVISON on Thursday, July 20 to kick off the double-elimination portion of the event.
Global Esports have been eliminated from the Pacific LCQ and their 2023 season has come to a close.
