Split was a close affair with FURIA clinching out the map 14-12. Not to be dissuaded, KRÜ ran away on their comfort map Ascent 13-4. The LATAM and Brazilian teams traded rounds on the decider map Bind, but KRÜ ultimately came out on top 13-11 with an incredible six-round comeback.
Like MIBR MIBR Brazil Rank #23 mazin Matheus Araújo artzin Arthur Araujo Palla Davi Alcides rich Gabriel Rosa liazzi Felipe Galiazzi , FURIA began the season strong with a 2-1 record before falling off for the rest of the season. In addition, the Brazilian team were starting with their sixth-man kon4n in the LCQ after long-time sentinel player Quick remained in Brazil, reportedly due to health issues.
Meanwhile, KRÜ entered the game hot off their first win of the season against MIBR.
“The match is going to be very entertaining, very explosive,” keznit said about FURIA prior to the match. "I like to play against them, and I like to take down the Brazilian guys.”

The series certainly began with an explosive start on Split: dgzin clutched a 1v2 on B Rafters, and FURIA pulled away with a 6-2 lead. But KRÜ adapted to FURIA's offenses and shut down the Brazilian's attempts on the A Site, winning four out of five retakes.
FURIA's double duelist with no sentinel comp struggled on the defense. KRÜ prayed on FURIA's weaknesses, winning seven of the following eight rounds and overtaking the panthers 12-10. With the momentum on their side, the finish line was in KRÜ's sights.
Then, round 23: FURIA were down 2v3 against KRÜ in a post-plant scenario on B Site. With KRÜ's Astra, Melser , still alive, the situation looked unwinnable. That was until kon4n contacted into A Main and landed a jumping headshot on Melser. Meanwhile, mazin successfully stuck the spike in his Viper smoke while Klaus and NagZ lost precious seconds in the confusion.
“Some things didn't work in the final rounds, like we made a lot of mistakes,” FURIA coach Carlao said of the play. “But when we paused, when we brought that defuse in the 10-12, we could talk, breathe, and make better decisions in that overtime.”
Meanwhile, KRÜ coach Atom was undeterred.
“It was a hard loss, but we also knew that FURIA is a good team, a really hard team to beat,” Atom said. “So we are ready to play [more] two maps.”
Ascent was FURIA's map pick, but KRÜ were determined to show that they were the true kings of the floating city. keznit answered FURIA's pistol round win with a 1v3 clutch on the Sheriff in two long-range fights against a Spectre and a Bulldog in mid.
With their confidence restored, KRÜ battered FURIA for the rest of the half, ending in a 9-3 record. After switching sides, FURIA managed to win the second pistol round off the back of a 4K by mwzera , but KRÜ simply squashed FURIA's uprising with another thrifty.
Fully warmed up, Klaus started off Bind with a 4K retake, reminiscent of his hot beginning in the previous day's match. However, it was ultimately FURIA who ended the half with a narrow 7-5 lead. KRÜ got a taste of their own medicine on round 14, when FURIA used a loadout of three Classics and two Sheriffs to win a thrifty round.
By round 19, KRÜ was facing down a dangerous 11-7 deficit. But DaveeyS worked a miracle, killing kon4n, FURIA's spike planter, through mwzera's Viper ultimate and then taking off mwzera's head, preventing the spike from being planted before FURIA ran out of time.
Two rounds later, Klaus won a 2v1 retake with a flick onto Khalil on B site. KRÜ tied up the series and then reached the coveted 12-11 scoreline. This time, they were in control of the comeback, and they weren't going to let it go to overtime. NagZet ended the series with a Shorty kill onto mwzera inside their dueling Viper pits.
KRÜ's back-to-back victories will afford them some room for error for the first time in the tournament. The following round will start the double-elimination phase of the tournament after it began with a set of single-elimination matches.
