I have an exam 6 hours, I've got 5 more hours to prepare, haven't slept in like 30 hours. How do I retain stuff while writing the paper when my last sleep was 36 hours ago? I have to study there's no way around so don't ask me to sleep just gimme some nice tips to help me stay awake and attentive during exam ^_^

studied really hard before an exam? huh, bad choice, what have you done during this semester? PLAYING VALORANT 24/7 is not good. anyway just go sleep and take some hours to rest your body

pull an all nighter for things that actually matter like the 100t vs sen game in under 2 hours !! skip that exam

Pulling all nighters is bad.
I used to do it too but you end up performing worse than if you slept. Even if you learned all the way through. YOur cognitive speed and retention is completely cucked.

Honestly its better to sack some portions of the topics and try to remember the general facts rather than minuscule details.

Again i used to do this too but it just doesnt really work

My strat was working till 3 sleeping for 3 hours so you got at least some level of performance left later and revising everything from 6 till exam. Coffee is overrated. Makes your heart go crazy and lose focus but your eyes stay heavy. Strong lights and fresh air help me.

Coffee , after every time you finish it, you will piss a lot but keep drinking , keep studying , sleep for like 45 minutes minimum before the exam or you will fall asleep during the exam every time you stop writing. This 45 min sleep will help you kill that sleep during exam but make sure someone wakes you up, make it sure , you wouldnt wake up on your own by alarm or anything , drink coffee the last time and believe that it will keep you awake no matter what , trust the coffee no matter what anyone says.

Tried ans tested method in my real life . Hope it helps

I would add that i had some sleep unlike your already 36 hr of no sleep but your body can handle 2 day of non sleep , focus on studying and trust the coffee and the process and it will work flawlessly. Now get off vlr and get your ass to studying

Sometimes trusting the process helps, placebos work for a reason, and they work even if you know about them

Fake sleeping / “resting” is surprisingly effective. Make sure to set alarms just in case and leave some peripheral lighting on but just lie down, close your eyes, and try to relax for 20 mins.

Even if you don’t fall into sleep, it definitely has restorative effect.

I also find showering (as if you just woke up and are starting your day) to be useful for feeling a little fresher.

If you’re too scared to close your eyes (afraid of sleeping instantly and zombie dismissing your alarm), then you can up caffeine prior to lying down. Also don’t forget to get some consistent sugar intake (I personally like smarties for their simple dextrose content), it’ll help keep energy up.

The ideal nap durations are either ~20 minutes so you don’t enter deep sleep, or ~90 minutes so you finish a rem cycle.

having someone else to wake him is a good idea, yes. I think that closing your eyes if you really know you’re too stimulated to seriously sleep is okay tho, and it’ll help with the mental fatigue
