People living in Portugal come

i've met people telling me that it's the best place on the planet but at the same time the most disgusting and degenerate place to settle in

I would say that for the tourists it's great, beautiful places to visit, good beer and wine, great food, everything is cheaper for you, great climate and that I don't think it's overrated, but if you live here it's very stressful, specially in lisbon, the government is a mess, jobs don't pay well and we have the most expensive rent in europe.

If you're planning to visit Lisbon or Porto isn't even the best part, you also have the islands of Azores (I'm currently on vacation in são Miguel and I have to say its amazing, the views are just incredible), Madeira, and the rural parts of the country are also very beautiful if you like nature.

Don't get fooled by algarve, it's kinda boring, it's a good place to go for like 1 or 2 days. Yes the beaches are nice and the climate is good but going there for multiple years in a row it became boring. (Desculpem algarvios)
