These Japanese Valorant teams honestly shouldnt even be getting 2 spots in the event, Korean teams bring innovation and have a decent amount of talent just give a 3rd spot to them. The Japanese teams just have 0 talent. NA/EU plats could have beaten CR. Genuinely horrible team.

CR also got shit on by a Thai team the next round in lower bracket. They simply are not good. Silver strats and not even any real individual talent on CR.

Not sure where it should go, but yes Japan should not have 2 slots. Maybe another SEA or SA team? Or a playoff between SA, SEA, and KR really.

I think we should be looking at expanding slots rather than decreasing them in the future. Japanese or Indian teams can only improve if they keep playing against these better teams. Slowly but surely they will start improving. We don't wany another CS situation here where it's 1 region dominating always. 24 teams from the next masters circuit would be the way to go.

Yea but this is only masters, a qualifier for Championship. I would rather expand slots for Champions. I have faith in Riot though they handled the League esports scene pretty well, Worlds has like 22 teams from around the world I think playing.

No , I mean like this Championship ends and from the next Riot circuit , we can have 24 teams from the first masters itself , considering Riot continues with the same format.

Or merge the JP/CN/KR scene, like how EMEA playoffs work. Increases the quality of the whole region. SEA/SA/OCE should go a similar merger tbh, and give these two bigger regions 3 teams each into Masters, keeping the Asian representation still at 6 total, but much less likely to get steamrolled.

No, that would give Kr teams too much representation imo. For the short run, I don't think Jp teams can match up so they might get almost no slots if they merged. Not sure how strong CN is tho.
