The grand final of Champs 2022 was also worth a spot in the franchises. I doubt that if Optic had won, Riot would have left them out of the league.

Idk Optic had A LOT of issues before, I def understand why they picked all the NA orgs over them.
Are optic this broke? anybody elaborate? how did c9 manage to get in?
optic did some stupid shit in terms of finance in league of legends (riots favorite game)
Pasted from another thread where I talked abt this
Riot made it clear that they were prioritizing relationships and longevity with franchising, both thing optic kinda lack in.
They sold their LCS spot and although they look a LOT more stable now, pretty much when riot was deciding orgs optic just did a merger and changed CEOS (not to mention their unstable history). Sucks but it definitely wasnt out of no where. They definitely fumbled viewership-wise tho having both sen and optic wouldve been crazy for the scene.
Its important to realize that the decision was made entirely based on the org, not the roster (even if optic made it in the roster would not have stayed)
the roster would not have stayed
maybe if marved wasnt tired of winning, and yay didnt go nuclear every tournament hes played in, optic still wouldve been together in spirit! ^_^
Optic is all about that shmoney they would have let yay been bought out
I miss these frauds 😾😞😞☹️
c9 got in after carlos hanged out with andrew tate. So g2 got taken out for c9.
riot hates optic for screwing them in league of legends lol. but fr if optic won champs it would have been really hard to deny them in franchising
Here s another hot take: franchising shouldnt exist
Valorant will never be a real esport because only those that the company overlord wants to win get chances to win
