Let's start from where it has started

PHASE 1 GROWTH
Year 2020-21
VLT as a team was dominating every tournament till mid 2021,after this phase global eSports and velocity gaming have a back and forth battle to be top team in South Asia. Valorant in terms of viewership was constantly rising due to ban of pubg and streamers shifting to valorant

PHASE 2 RISE
Year 2021-22
Global eSports gave a good run in tournament (considering first apac tournament of the Indian region) and there was continuous growth in viewership.Rivalry between velocity gaming and global esports was at peak and there was constant viewership of 20k+ and peak of around 50k in their matches .Also new underdogs (Godl, enigma,Godparticles) was constantly putting GE and Vlt on toes,Overall valorant was at peak in this phase

PHASE 3 RISE AND FALL
Year 2023-present With the global eSports shifting to franchise league ,There was drastic fall in viewership.
The viewership was restricted to vlt matches only,but the competition in scene is at all time peak with new contenders such as Orangutan gaming,revenant, reckoning,Aster army ,true rippers. But the viewership of these matches hardly touches 5k ,Vlt matches still gets 10k+ viewership

PHASE 4 BUBBLE IS ABOUT TO BURST
Future of Indian valorant scene remains dark,with the elimination of fan favorite team (VLT) and with unban of pubg
The viewership will fall even more
Also there is huge uncertainty about future off season tournaments which lead to VLT disbanding their valorant lineup

After the ascension qualifying tournament will end it is likely that bubble of Indian valorant will burst with many organisations leaving valorant scene due to unban of bgmi and less off season tournament

Future of Indian valorant remains uncertain

Thug and sid have said multiple times valorant esports is nowhere near profitable

Godl may join valorant but with bgmi coming back and they have 100% bgmi fans it is most likely that godl will not bring much viewership

I can write whole ass 1000 word essay on why Indian valo nvr rlly picked up with faults on both riot and org sides based on what i saw for 2years.
A small example i recently noticed - riot dun even hv a official Hindi stream for vct masters for what is the 3rd most spoken language in the world and its been like that since T1 tournaments commenced. Its not about people able to understand English, but more about showing that you rlly care bout that region & bringing in that casual playing audience

Idts Valorant is going anywhere while BGMI is fan favourite Valo is like an unbreakable pillar in PC gaming scene also Riot is investing alot in the scene

2 i think the quality of Indian teams have improved

3 viewrship is still alr because no one in India cares about T2 while at that time 2021 2020 it was lockdown time kids like me were honestly pretty free so it was constant viewrship now it's less but still good I'll say

GE said they are also working out with them and helping them in visas and all
Active tournaments teir 2-3 and SA head also has said so many times he trys all his best to talk to Riot global and provide whatever they can

it all depends on performance of indian teams internationally . we dont care about mickey mouse tournaments . we all knew OG was about to dominate . the only competitor being VLT but as soon as VLT got exposed . we knew it was a one team tournament . now it all depends on how OG performs in Ascension and how GE performs in LCQ . if GE somehow Qualifies for champions u can see the revival of valorant VIewership . same goes for OG in ascension.

Your not wrong. I have said it multiple times. In a country like ours, where we should try to build a LPL type ecosystem, we are becoming the LCS of valorant. Decent influx of money and imports but no quality results. Although we are way too early to judge if we are gonna become LCS lite because it's the first year in CLSA whereas LCS has been like that for quite a long time now.

LCS is a North American LoL League, the league has a lot of money coming into the scene despite the teams from LCS has little to no success internationally, and the league is comprised with a lot of imports too
