You could try edX, you can actually get credits from universities but it's a bit pricy.

They are. But I have to agree with #8, just do one complete and good course. Then, start making projects and expand your GitHub and resume.

Vouch, courseera is cool but there are so many good tutorials on YouTube for any CS project you could imagine
follow a yt walkthru for a simple web app and once finished, customize it to your liking
Certificates mean a lot less than projects in your resume/portfolio
List the "projects" you work on while completing the certifications on your Github
