EMEA Champions

i haven’t seen this talked about, but for anyone who doesn’t know, if G2 or SMB place anywhere less than second:
Fnatic has 350 points
Gambit has to win one game to qual for champions (get minimum 225 points, which puts them at 370)
Acend has to make it out of groups (get 275 points, which puts them at 375)

G2 and SMB have 0 points, so they have to get 375 to beat fnatic out, and that’s not even taking into consideration what Acend and Gambit do.
so basically, the point i’m making here is Gambit have already qualified for champions, and Acend is close. i think it’s very likely that G2 and SMB don’t make the grand final bc teams like Gambit and Acend and Sentinels and 100T will be in there. it’s basically just Acend and Fnatic fighting for the last champions slot

Here is a simplified “minimum conditions for each EMEA team to make champions.”

Gambit: win a game at berlin, SMB and G2 get 3rd-16th
Acend: if G2 and SMB place 3rd-16th, acend have to make it out of groups or win one game if gambit doesn’t win a game
Fnatic: Acend don’t make it out of groups, or Gambit doesn’t win a game, SMB and G2 have to place 3rd-16th for this situation to work
G2: place 2nd, gambit doesn’t win a game or acend doesn’t make it out of groups, SMB have to place behind them for this situation to work
SMB: same as G2, just switch the team names
Liquid: Gambit win Masters Berlin and acend don’t win a game, G2 and SMB place from 5th-16th. in this situation, the masters Reykjavik participants from EMEA will be in champions through circuit points.

My Predictions:
Gambit and Acend will definitely be at champions. If one of them wins Berlin (which imo, depends on the playoff bracket), i think Fnatic will be there, which makes me happy as an FNC fan. i don’t see G2 and SMB making the GF, even though that somewhat depends on the bracket as well. in my Pick’em, i have SMB and G2 making out as a second seed. i think G2 looses to every first seed (in mine i have SEN, NV, Gambit and Acend), and i think the only first seed SMB beat is NV. and if SMB beat NV, they will most likely face Gambit Acend or SEN which i think they lose to.

gambit has 320 alrdy and ascend 275. g2 and, smb has 170. liquid has no chance thru circuit points cuz top 2 are fnc and gambit already

SMB is better than Acend right now

IMO it'll be tough for acend to make it out of groupe so fnatic have a chance

also another point to add, even though it is extremely unlikely that the conditions for liquid making it will
happen, it is technically still possible, so TL should not be listed as an already qualified LCQ team, unless vlr.gg knows something i don’t
