theyd give 3rd place for things like if a player is found to be cheating or if they had the stream open besides them. then the results would be invalidated and 3rd place would get it. but for things out of riots control like visa theyd just make f4q play a game less.
bro its too late for the 3rd place team to go through, they would also have to apply for visas which wouldn't be approved in such a short time. Unless rioat have prepared for such a scenario

i dont get it, why do people think EU team could replace a SEA team? they already have 4 spots. How does that make sense to you?
Because next event is held in Europe. I don't think any other team from outside of EU would get their visas before Berlin. If they need to replace Bren then EU team is almost the only option.
It would be unfair, but if they want to have 16 teams like they planned then adding 5th EMEA representative is pretty much the only thing they can do. I don't know how visas exactly work, but to my understanding the process can take some time and add possible quarantine time to that and you are out of options. Masters start at like 7 days.
Based on the playerbase, emea deserves 5.9955 Slots. Emea is such a big region. Its whole europe, russia and turkiya.
