With only one week of the VCT Pacific league remaining, the rankings have started to solidify, deciding the fate of which teams will end up in the playoffs.

Day One

Week seven's first matchup was between Gen.G Gen.G Korea Rank #1 Foxy9 Jung Jae-sung (정재성) t3xture Kim Na-ra (김나라) Munchkin Byeon Sang-beom (변상범) yoman Chae Young-moon (채영문) Karon Kim Won-tae (김원태) and Talon Esports Talon Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #14 Crws Thanamethk Mahatthananuyut JitBoyS Jittana Nokngam primmie Papaphat Sriprapha ban Joseph Seungmin Oh Governor Peter No . While Gen.G had been undefeated in the first half of league play, they have since suffered back-to-back losses from DRX DRX Korea Rank #7 Flashback Cho Min-hyuk (조민혁) MaKo Kim Myeong-gwan (김명관) Athan Na Ha-jun (나하준) freeing No Ha-jun (노하준) HYUNMIN Song Hyun-min (송현민) and Global Esports Global Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #39 patrickWHO Mark Musni UdoTan Go Kyung-won (고경원) Kr1stal Savva Fedorov kellyS Kelly Sedillo Papi Federico Evangelista . As for Talon, they found their first win two weeks ago against ZETA DIVISION ZETA DIVISION Japan Rank #2 Dep Yuma Hashimoto SugarZ3ro Shota Watanabe CLZ Hikaru Mizutani SyouTa Shota Aoki Xdll Yuto Mizomori but have still struggled to this point.

The series began on Gen. G's map pick of Fracture, where they began on defense. After losing the pistol, Gen.G were able to steal the second round away, but Talon, undeterred, began racking up a lead. The half eventually culminated at 7-5 in Talon's favor, and once they switched to defense, they looked even stronger. JitBoyS on Cypher was a menace when it came down to anchoring sites and Talon, slowly but surely, crept towards map point. Gen.G, despite some great rounds, ended up losing their map pick 13-8.

JitBoyS , Crws , and garnetS all stepped up huge for the Thai squad. The former two were also the only players on the server to go positive in terms of kill differential, belaying how close some of the rounds were.

The second map was Lotus, where both teams opted for a single controller/double initiator comp. Gen.G took the pistol and following round, but after that, Talon were able to showcase their mastery of retakes on the map. They were able to win five rounds in a row before Gen.G finally found a few rounds, one of them off of a 1v2 clutch from Sylvan . They would eventually end the half still trailing at 7-5.

After the side swap, Talon pulverized them. The Korean squad would only eke out two more round wins before Talon took the map 13-7. On Lotus, foxz was the MVP for the Thai squad with four first kills and a 85% KAST. The server was topped by Gen G's k1Ng on not just Lotus but overall for his team. Talon's support players though - Crws, JitBoyS, and foxz - were the key reason for their win.

The second series saw two teams both high in the rankings clash, with the winner most likely securing a playoff spot. Paper Rex Paper Rex Asia-Pacific Rank #1 mindfreak Aaron Leonhart Jinggg Wang Jing Jie f0rsakeN Jason Susanto d4v41 Khalish Rusyaidee something Ilya Petrov and ZETA DIVISION ZETA DIVISION Japan Rank #2 Dep Yuma Hashimoto SugarZ3ro Shota Watanabe CLZ Hikaru Mizutani SyouTa Shota Aoki Xdll Yuto Mizomori entered the match at four wins each. While ZETA had been looking strong since their debut in the league, Paper Rex, with the addition of their new player something , were still acclimatizing.

Paper Rex chose Split to start off the series, locking in their trademark double duelist comp with something on Jett and Jinggg on Raze. They stormed off to a strong attacking start, bringing the score to 6-2, then 7-3 before an ace from Laz helped conclude the half at 7-5 in PRXs favor.

Clean work from laz.

Once PRX switched to defense, they wouldn't even let ZETA get the spike down. The ZETA squad would only win one more round, with Paper Rex taking the map 13-6.

On the second map, Ascent, PRX went in for a slightly unorthodox Sage pick instead of a Killjoy/Chamber/Cypher. ZETA won the first two rounds but PRX once again began running it down with great success. PRX took five rounds in a row before ZETA finally successfully retook the site, but PRX had done the damage. The half concluded 8-4 in PRX's favor.

After the side swap, PRX were able to find the pistol and anti-eco to get to 10-4. ZETA wasn't done yet, as on attack, they were able to net a few rounds off of 3Ks from Dep and crow , but PRX, with their huge lead, were not deterred. PRX won 13-10, taking the series 2-0 and solidifying their chances of making playoffs. PRX's latest addition, something, was the server MVP, dropping 41 kills over two maps with nine first kills and netting a +23 kill differential.

Day Two

The opener for the day was a battle of two of the league's underdogs - Global Esports Global Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #39 patrickWHO Mark Musni UdoTan Go Kyung-won (고경원) Kr1stal Savva Fedorov kellyS Kelly Sedillo Papi Federico Evangelista and Rex Regum Qeon Rex Regum Qeon Asia-Pacific Rank #19 Monyet Cahya Nugraha xffero David Monangin Jemkin Maksim Batorov Kush Bryan Carlos Setiawan Estrella Park Gun (박건) - with the winner having a significantly better shot at making the playoffs.

RRQ chose Fracture as the first map of play and started on defense. They found the first two rounds, but Global were able to swing back into it with four rounds in a row. RRQ bounced back and won the last three rounds in the half to tie things up at 6-6.

In the second half, RRQ once again got to an early lead with a pistol win but GE reacted with three rounds of their own. The map, despite ping-ponging back and forth, would eventually slide in RRQ's favor as they took the map 13-10.

Here comes the party! For RRQ anyway.

Pearl, GE's pick, saw them opt for an Astra and two initiators while RRQ picked the Harbor-Astra double controller comp. The first half saw both teams being neck and neck until RRQ won the last five rounds to end the half at 8-4. GE did win the pistol to try and catch up, but RRQ, after 3Ks from Lmemore and xffero , were able to get to 11-7.

GE then put in a heroic effort and netted four rounds in a row to tie the score. It seemed like there was a possibility of OT, but RRQ would win the last two rounds of regulation to take Pearl 13-11.

Lmemore and xffero popped off for RRQ over the course of the series. Lmemore in particular had 46 kills on Killjoy, with a +18 kill differential and seven first kills. For GE, both Monyet and t3xture had huge impact across both maps, with almost 80 kills between them.

The second game for the day saw Team Secret Team Secret Asia-Pacific Rank #7 invy Adrian Jiggs Reyes JessieVash Jessie Cuyco Wild0reoo Brheyanne Christ Reyes 2ge James Goopio Jremy Jeremy Cabrera go up against T1 T1 Korea Rank #3 stax Kim Gu-taek (김구택) Meteor Kim Tae-O (김태오) Sylvan Ko Young-sub (고영섭) BuZz Yu Byung-chul (유병철) iZu Ham Woo-ju (함우주) . The latter entered on a winning streak while Team Secret, after a strong start in the league, has struggled.

The series opened on TS's map pick, Lotus. Starting on defense, T1 were able to absolutely dominate the half, winning the first four in a row before TS finally netted one of their own. T1 kept that momentum going to end the half 10-2. T1 closed things out at 13-4 soon after. Sayaplayer and Carpe both absolutely demolished their opponents, with the former finding six first kills - more than the entire enemy squad had all together.

The second game saw Bind come into play, with both teams opting for a double controller Harbor-Viper comp, and T1 putting Carpe on the newest agent, Gekko. Once again, T1 got off to a strong start, stealing the second round away from TS despite the latter winning pistol. This time around, TS were able to bounce back, and the half would eventually end at 7-5 in T1's favor. TS were able to win the pistol and anti-eco after swapping sides, but T1's Harbor-Viper comp was too strong a defense for TS to pick apart. They would only win one more round before T1 took the map 13-8, solidifying their chances of making playoffs.

Day Three

The sole game for today saw the top and bottom-most teams in the league face off against each other: the undefeated DRX DRX Korea Rank #7 Flashback Cho Min-hyuk (조민혁) MaKo Kim Myeong-gwan (김명관) Athan Na Ha-jun (나하준) freeing No Ha-jun (노하준) HYUNMIN Song Hyun-min (송현민) versus the winless DetonatioN FocusMe DetonatioN FocusMe Japan Rank #7 Meiy Ibuki Seki Art Jinboong Kim Jin-won (김진원) Akame Yu Gwang-hui (유광희) gyen .

DFM chose Fracture as their pick, starting on defense. They were able to hold their own, and in fact took a lead against the Korean squad, with takej and Seoldam both finding multiple 3Ks. The half ended at 7-5 in DFM's favor, and they even won the pistol after the side swap. After that though, DRX seemed to wake up. They won eight rounds in a row after Rb stole the anti-eco away with a 1v2 clutch, and DRX won map one 13-8.

Just another pros don't fake moment.

The second map of play was Ascent, one of DRX's strongest, and it showed. DRX dominated their attacking half, winning the first four rounds consecutively and eventually ending the half at a strong 9-3 lead, only denied the 10-2 because of a 4K from Anthem in round 12. The second half ended all hopes of a comeback, as DFM were only able to find a single round before DRX took the map in a dominant 13-4 fashion.

MaKo and BuZz were both phenomenal across the series for DRX, with 70 kills and nine first kills between them. For DFM, Seoldam was the only player who broke even in terms of K/D.

Week seven saw the rankings begin to solidify. DRX has locked in their slot at playoffs, with Paper Rex and T1 most likely solidifying their berths as well. However, the remaining three are still anyone's game, especially with Super Week coming up.
