explaining seeding

So their are still some dumb dumbs who don't understand why the seeding was created like that so let me briefly explain :

Riot made this seedings in a way in which all the regions are considered to be at the same level, so they didn't take into consideration that EU and NA are at a higher level (AS OF THE RESULTS IN ICELAND DONT ATTACK ME BRAZIL FANS)

So for Group A since Acend got 3rd and SMB got 2nd they got placed with KR's 1st seed. On paper it would look like a easy group for VS since they got first seed but if you take into account the skill level of ACE and SMB it is the hardest group in the bracket.

Group B has NA's 3rd seed and the 1st seeds of Japan, LATAM, and Brazil. This group contains all the first seeds and one third seed so technically it should be difficult for envy but since NA is basically one of the favorites its considered the easiest group.

Group C and Group D make sense so I'm not going to explain.

In my opinion it would of made the groups much better if one of either SMB or Acend got moved into Envy's group to even out all the groups but too late now!

Pretty much the crux of the problem and why everybody is indirectly calling for region power rankings to influence the pools. Unfortunately, Riot in their attempts to be as objective as possible are not gonna add region power rankings weights based on a sample size of 1 international tournament.

for group A I think:
riot first thought about 1 team per group so made 2 EMEA in 1 group so that lower regions get a shot
next day they changed that decision but forgot to change 2 EMEA in 1 group rule

I think SMD or Acend should get moved to NV's group too.

adding the exception in their randomiser that 2 emea can be in the same team is fuckin stupid tho. emea is clearly one of the if not the top regions rn. just remove that exception and both group a and b are fixed.

WRONG.

They are 6-7 regions, 7 I think, and how pool seeding works is there are pool 1,2,3,4. Every each of them has equal amount of teams. (4).
So not every region can have a team in pool 1, so they decided it was NA, EMEA, KR, and BR based on Iceland results.

But if you look closer to the seeding, they did take into account Iceland results, the only thing they fucked is putting NA 3 in the 4th pool and Br 2nd in the third pool.
