I mean, if I won a trophy I would feel sad if there was no one cheering for me at the stage. Imagine how a team with no brazilian players winning a tournament in brazil would feel.
I don't think it's wrong to support a team, but if I was there I would want to cheer for a good match regardless of whatever team was playing
