i have a laptop with an m.2 ssd and im currently building a pc. i wanna save money and just use the ssd i currently have in my laptop for the desktop. Will i have to format the ssd and erase windows and all that or will just a simple remove and plug work so that i dont have to pirate windows

I think windows detects the system change and removes the license, not sure though

If you can live with a watermark (I've had this for about 1 and 1/2 years now) you can use windows media creation tool to create your own pirated copy. Will not be licensed but will give you all the functions of a windows PC.
