With 2 challenger splits and only 1 Ascension Tournament in 2023, if split 2 qualifies you for Ascension, what is split 1 for?

but if you take the slot at split 1, what's the point of playing split 2? I guess split 1 will ultimately only be for the money

well split 2 offers money too, so if team A wins split 1 and qualifies to ascension and then wins split 2 again, they get 2x the money and 1 slot (other probably goes to the 2nd placed team)

or maybe 1 slot based on who wins split 2 and other slot based on circuit points

I think there will be circuit points, so split 1 will give money and circuit points

I thought about it too, but with the relegation/promotion system to the challengers, whoever enters split 2 as a newly promoted is disadvantaged and can't easily qualify for Ascension

Well that's the incentive to try both splits, so you can get circuit points for both splits, if a team does well split 1 and 2 they should be rewarded for that imo. Also split 2 could be weighted to give more points.

Yeah, this could be a nice solution and I agree with u
