I agree that ever since champs 21, all he’s been doing is choke (internationally only)
In copenhagen and istanbul, he would miss shots that he would hit in his sleep.
At the start of his tournament, in the match vs seider-fpx, he was sooooo comfortable he was hitting everything under the sun because he was confident and chilling, just aim diffing people. Next game instantly after, he tries to do the same to prx but jinggg and forsaken diff him at the start and he completely lost his confidence for the rest of the whole match AND the whole tournament.
Until he fixes this issue, he will continue to “choke”.
Few rounds of people shitting on him make him miss the easiest shots of his fucking life for the rest of the tourney. He wasnt the same after that prx match.
He will have 0 issues in emea though, he knows all the players, has confidence vs all of them alrdy, they wont kill it and he wont choke in emea imo.
Before people bring up his acs or whatever stat, im sorry but i actually watch games and he simply choked.

Derke is my fav player, like few other Finn players too(ofc), and I wish him the best success possible!
But unfortunately this is as its been. Once I tried to politely bring this up on reddit and got downvoted hard.
Yes, he's been the best on many group stages and I think its become a slight curse for him, cos when playoffs hit we see
a different Derke on the field who gets shut down by the opponent, as we've witnessed.
I think its Derkes russian side doing the talking in the interviews after wins with comments like "when I will be the best".
Why build pressure on yourself by stating that?
Its not a finnish trait at all. The finnish trait is to critisize and doubt yourself until youre hugging the gold,
and even then asking your mate to hit you, so you know for sure.
Have no expectations and go forward doing your best.

Could be onto something. Although I feel like this year alone will be really telling of how much FNATIC really want to win something. They've been really good for awhile now but always been falling short. If it just becomes the same results as this year surely something has to change right? I know they've been bringing in and kicking out players as they go through Masters and Champs alone but they've been keeping that core of Boaster, Derke and Mistic who has now been dropped. You bring up some good points though, He seems to farm domestically and looks a little shaky at times when the moments matter Internationally. Insanely good player that brings ALOT of firepower and knowledge but just seems to be falling short in the moments that matter.
Just want to add I have nothing against Derke I think he's honestly a top 5 player in the world right now. I'm only going on recency bias and how FNATIC has fallen short Internationally. I know they've had roster iterations and it sucked to see them lose at Champs and drop out. I have faith this new roster of FNATIC can really push for titles this year it just comes down to how badly they want it and how well they keep up/keep ahead of the meta. FNATIC are one of the teams in EU I've always loved watching.
