ascension teams are gonna dominate

very few slots, and so many great players left in the dust. I am sure they can rise through ascension in no time and beat at least 2 or 3 of the franchised teams (in NA). What exactly happens then? Will the dominating ascension teams have a chance for a permanent slot? If so are they going to replace a partnered slot?

nope , the ascension team gets to stay in the league for 2 years , so the league will have 11 teams next year for example. And after the 2 years the go back in ascension.

what exactly are the rules to be "ascended"(any riot announcement?). And will only one team every 2 year be "ascended",?

no , they will play in challengers , ascension is the last t2 tournament of the year and the winner goes in the partnered league . Each year a team ascends so by 2028 I think there will pe 14 teams in the league
