it depends on the country. Some like Australia, Canada, Singapore and US have safe tap water and i never once gotten sick drinking from their tap water unlike my trip on china and India

They probably ate food with low quality ingredients. i don't know how turkey's water treatment works, so if they ended up drinking tap water it might be poisoning because of heavy metals or pesticides present in the water that are very difficult to treat.
