It wouldn't make sense if you can't get them back. Imo, you should be able to get your stars back.
yea i meant like if i get upvotes will i get my stars back or im gonna stay starless forever
Upvotes only speed up the process, if you're actively posting, you can get stars without upvotes. I've seen some people getting downvoted a lot but still gaining stars slowly.
