3 NA
6 Asia
4 SA (2 BR 2 LATAM)
3 EMEA

Why is it only 3 EMEA teams? How come NA gets 3 teams when they only include 2 countries? EMEA has so many countries and they only get 3?

They don't want 4 teams in top 4 for champions. Imagine the disaster if KRU didnt win against fnatic in 2021 champs. Asia is also given way more chances. This is likely due to riot wanting to capture the asian market, as Europe and Americas will always play a fps like valorant.

Asia is 6 because its way too big . This is not like LoL where you can get away by saying Asia = China , KR , VN , HK/TW . There are more bigger regions here which are more competitive .
EMEA 3 seems fine to me .

Asia getting 6 is actually a really good thing, EMEA has Africa, middle East and Europe as a whole but gets 3 slots. My problem isn't with Asia distribution but with how this time EMEA got a slot less despite the representation of countries increasing.

I think the reason they give EMEA 3 because EMEA is really strong and according to RIOT's so and so wordings they want to keep it "diverse" at the international stage .

well if they wanted to make it diverse i expect also double the franchise spots for asia and americas. last i heard only 10 each for 3 regions.

Asia is honestly good, but EMEA needs way more. 3 slots cannot define a region of this high caliber.

i would have given one more for asia because it’s big and there is clear participation of SEA countries, but 3 for emea is just why the heck

actually true, like in franchising regions are separated as asia, americas and emea, but if we look at champions slots, americas - 7, asia - 6, emea - 3 💀 at least make it 4 bruuuh like it doesnt matter if other regions have more slots, just 3 is too few.

Looking at it in terms of competitiveness EMEA should have one more team which would be M3C the rest don't deserve it
