I looked at the storylines going into SEN v GUARD and analysis of what happened during it. If enough people enjoy these, I'll be more than happy to do one of these for Faze v EG
LAST MEETINGS AND ROSTER MOVES
-Last time these teams met was in the playoffs of Challengers 1, Guard won 2-0 in dominant fashion. Guard would go on to place #1 in playoffs
-Sentinels have since swapped Zombs and SicK for Shroud and Zellsis. Kanpeki also had a brief stint on the roster throughout Challengers 2
-Both teams have fallen from their prior form in Challengers 1
HIGHLIGHT HEAD TO HEADS
-Saya vs Tenz: The last time these two opers clashed, Saya went +1 over Tenz, but significantly outperformed Tenz with 331 ACS, compared to Tenz' 155. In the rematch, Tenz went +1 over Saya and put up 205 ACS, compared to 204 ACS. It is also worth noting both players have gone from playing the duelist/frag role to chamber.
-JonahP vs Zellsis: These two top tier flex players have never squared off in an official match, and Zellsis topped JonahP in the head to head, going +5 against his counter, but JonahP pulled a higher ACS, KDA, ADR, and FK/FD. Zellsis also only played KAY/O, despite being a flex player.
THE MAPS, THE ROUNDS, AND THE FRAGS
-Breeze are normally Guard's permaban. They have only played the map in an official twice prior to todays match: once against OpTic in a Bo5 GF, and the other in a consolation final vs DZ (they also won both those maps)
-Sentinels won 4 of the 6 total pistols
-Shahz and Trent were tied for most 2Ks (15)
-Zellsis and Trent were tied for most 3Ks (7)
-Across all maps, JonahP performed significantly better on Defense (37/26/11) compared to attack (19/25/19)
-All players on Guard played 2 or more agents, three players on Sen only played one agent
BONUS SHROUD STATS
-Shroud planted the bomb the most out of anyone in the server (15)
-Trent was 17-0 vs Shroud going into icebox, and finished the series 22-3 vs Shroud (which I believe is the biggest h2h differential in a match)
-Shroud finished the series with 157 ACS. Compared to other Viper and Astra players throughout Stage 1 and 2 (with min 50 rounds played), Shroud outperformed these players:
Stage 1: Frosty, hazed, ec1s, wippie
Stage 2: Apoth, Rossy, neT, TiGG, moose, hazed
