correct me if im wrong but didnt riot mention that there would be in-client tournaments and that they would implement VRL to every region in the world? It feels like people only focused on the franchising aspect of that article and completely ignored the 2 tiers below. The way I interpreted it was that if you win in the in-client tourneys, you progress to VRLs, and if you win VRLs you move to the franchised league and if you win there you make masters/champs. In theory its still possible for your random radiant 5 stack to make masters if you're good enough. Lmk what you think of this cause i think most people misread the article and only focused on the 2nd highest part of the diagram.

depends if riot have a pathway from VRL's straight to master/champs, which is unlikely

i think that the vrls will lead to franchised league and then from there you can make masters/champs. Kinda like how it was last stage with FOKUS and BIG making challengers through vrls

I don't think you right the whole point of franchising is no promotion or relegation

idk man. I mean, riot did say that it wasnt gonna be exactly like a traditional franchise ecosystem so i think that this is most likely what will happen

Yea they might have a few spots in challengers or LCQ for the VRL teams, but mostly focusing on the franchised teams

yeah thats what i think will happen. But the vrl teams could still make masters/champs bcos (to my knowledge) masters and champs wont be franchised.
