Possible honestly. FPX looked great last few games and FNC looked weak af
But I'm hoping the 4 day break is enough for FNC to reset. After all FNC is 4-0 against FPX
i already know that if i ask you to tell me what was looking so great about them and to give me some examples of them youd completely blank and wouldnt be able to tell me
Well then you would be wrong
- Last 3 games each player on the team has improved individually. Shao, Ardiis and Suygetsu played like demons.
- DRX were serious competitors for top 4 with their disciplined and layered gameplay but FPX was unphased against it. The counter utility from Shao and Ange1 was masterful. (Ange1 needs to show up better individually tho)
- 9 times out of 10 FPX already had the read on DRX and they kept running into FPX's stacks. On Ascent DRX struggled so bad on attack bcoz FPX were controlling the choke points really really well and didn't even have to play for retakes, they just ran fast retakes before the plant multiple times. Against Guild we also saw some really good retake strats from FPX. (We don't talk about that Breeze game tho)
- Team cohesion looked so much better since the return of Suygetsu. Saw a lot of good support utility and great trading.
- Pistol rounds looked somewhat better. Decent winrate
- Very refreshing to see Ardiis on Jett again he was owning. Their attack rounds were made easier by him winning so many of his opening duels.
Despite all this FNC is still historically better against FPX so I'm definitely hoping for a FNC win
I apologise if you're a high ranked player yourself and these Diamond 2 takes sounded dumb to you.

I'm not a very big fan of SEN but their players individually are undeniably talented. I think NA specifically is trying to downplay lesser regions ability. Should be an epic match!

I'm betting that every match rn will go over 2.5 maps, Here's why :
Optic and Paper Rex are both competing to be in the Grand Final spot. Optic have both slow approach and the fast approach depending on the map while Paper Rex have mastered the unexpected aggression. Optic loves to go to the lower bracket but they are known to have not beaten EMEA while Paper Rex loves closing it all out in Grand Finals.
Optic's to ban maps should be : Bind, Ascent
Paper Rex's to ban maps should be : Breeze, Split, Icebox where they are forced to use passive playstyle. Paper Rex haven't dropped a single map in Copenhagen while Optic looked a bit off and this goes back to them haven't defeated EMEA teams which makes their morale high.
Fnatic and FPX
I am purely speculating more on their emotions, the need to close out maps which might define their careers in the good run. FPX had a honeymoon phase during DRX and a third map against guild. Fnatic have had trouble fighting against agressive teams like Leviathan and Paper Rex which might have destroyed a little bit of their confidence if they were to be able to reach Grand Finals because both teams in upper brackets have a reputation to be aggressive on certain maps.
yeah thats what i think. But honnestly could go either way with both games.
