Liquid picked up former OG LDN UTD OG LDN UTD Inactive Dreamas back in early June as a replacement for Travis "L1NK" Mendoza. L1NK was a founding member of Liquid, back then known as fish123 fish123 Inactive Kryptix James Affleck ScreaM Adil Benrlitom L1NK Travis Mendoza ec1s Adam Eccles soulcas Dom Sulcas , and oversaw their rise to the top in 2021. L1NK was also a key member in Liquid's 2022 last-minute Reykjavik run, where they finished in the top eight.

Although nothing was announced at the time, Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom later told Yinsu Collins L1NK's exit was a personal decision caused by his loss of motivation and drive to be a professional player.

At the time of L1NK's departure, Liquid held a 2-1 record in EMEA Stage 2: Challengers. With Dreamas, they found two more wins to cap off the group stage and head to the playoffs as Group B's second-best team.
