You probably won't have anything better to do today in the afternoon/evening, how about following the evolution of Brazilian teams in relation to the last split? Today the game Vivo Keyd vs FURIA will take place.
LOUD is definitely the best team in the region, but overall the scene has improved tactically and the battle for the second seed will be extremely competitive, any team can do it. I will give some opinions about each of the playoff teams in this thread.
For these playoffs, this is my power ranking:
6 - Los Grandes: It is one of the teams that improved the most in Brazil this year, they have one of the best operators in the region (RND) and an excellent flex player (gustt1nha), Pleets has done a good job as IGL and they played a very strong against LOUD on Bind, they could have won if they had more experience and fewer individual mistakes. In my opinion they are sixth because they are not as good individually as the teams above.
5 - Vivo Keyd: Changing two players is always very difficult and with VK it was no different, the team took a while to "get on track" but they managed to qualify for the playoffs, they improved significantly in the last two series. Murizzz returned to play very well individually and Mwzera is having a big impact, heat had a difficult adaptation to Chamber for being a very different role than he was used to playing, he needs to be much more passive now and hold operator and sheriff angles , but the kid is very talented and has improved a lot. Tactically VK is a more coordinated team and they have new runs and setups, this is remarkable, but they are still below the next 4 teams imo.
4 - Furia: Since Xand left the team has changed their playstyle a lot, I would say they are a much less aggressive team now. They came up with the idea of putting NZR on the role flex so that they play with the highest impact agents on each map and it has a direct influence on the team's performance, QCK is the star of the team now and I would say he is by far the best Chamber of the region, Furia is a smarter team now and they can get the Masters spot without a doubt.
3 - NIP: They made a good adaptation putting Xand in Chamber's fixed role (although I believe he is the best entry fragger in Brazil, he is a great Operator) and Neon fit well for Jonn's style of play, the fact that he learned Fade allowed Xand to play Jett on the map where he is better (Ascent) and I have to praise Bezn's impact within this team, the boy is the best player in NIP in 2022 and a God in clutches, he plays what the team needs and always brings very difficult rounds with individual plays. Overall, NIP's map pool is much better now, I believe the addition of Jhow as a coach has a direct influence on this, Jhow and Vixen brought a lot of game knowledge they acquired at Vivo Keyd and NIP plays in a more coordinated and cohesive way in compared to the last split, they really are a better team, but they are behind the next two teams imo.
2 - MIBR: It's funny to think how much better this team is doing just because they changed a single player, Frz was a key part of MIBR's evolution in terms of communication and game knowledge, the team changed from water to wine and even even individually each of the players improved by at least 300% compared to the old lineup, Frz is very skillful and intelligent, together with Gtn they got a lot of game knowledge from the old Vikings and a lot of international experience in 2021, both are the brains of MIBR now. As I mentioned in another thread, MIBR is the team that trains the most against LOUD, Sacy and Saadhak always praise their performance. They were certainly the team that evolved the most in this split, tactically they are the best team after LOUD, imo.
1 - LOUD: Not much to say, I would say their map pool is better now, massively improved in Fracture and no longer banning Split. Bind, which was a solid map, showed some weakness in the games against Los Grandes and Stars Horizon, they still didn't lose a map and suffered 10 rounds in just one series (Gamelanders).
