why is split getting removed from unrated and comp plus willl split be there in vct?

8 maps is an awkward number for pro teams and may be too overwhelming for normal players too, I guess they removed split because it's one of the oldest maps and also because it's sh*t

map VETO only work perfectly with 7 maps . So Split will be removed in pro-play VCT also

Map rotation, after some time split will come back and other map get fucked
In VCT this will only apply when the new map is available in VCT

but i wanna know why split is it overwhelming to choose between 8 maps or dose the map veto is better with 8 maps

Nvrmind the user @KssS explained it why they want to keep it at 7 maps:

Yes because 7 maps is the sweet spot. When teams are doing map veto for a best of 3 series it usually goes like this:
Team A:Ban
Team B:Ban
A:pick
B:pick
A:ban
B:ban
Last map is the decider

As for why the chose split to remove, the riot devs said this on stream:

"After working with our esports team, surveying players, and talking to professional organizations we’ve decided to keep a 7 map pool and will be rotating Split out for now"

Idk who they talked to tbh xD

Because its a map that favors heavily defenders. Majority of the overtimes that go 15-15 and above happen in split. Its arguably the most unfun map to play esp if you are on the attacking side
