Ethan vs Derrek

Do u think 100T would have been better if they had derrek instead of Ethan? Ethan can play more agents than Derrek and is consistent

people who say ethan is better than derrek are delusional

if they picked him up before stage 1 then maybe but then theres the question of who has what role? Bc lets assume:
Stage 1 100T:
Hiko/Derrek: Sova
Asuna: Duelist:
jcStani/ec1s: Smokes
Bang/Ethan: Flex
it's more plausible that they might've been a better team if they got him before stage 1, bc even if they got Derrek after the 13-0 there's still the less-than-a-week practice which, presumably, picking up Derrek would make no difference

Eh to me it seems like ethan is just harder to work with. He knows what he wants and he’s not afraid to step on some toes to get it. Nothing wrong with that but I think Derrek just fits the atmosphere better. I’m curious to see how well Derrek does in the future. There is no doubt he was one of the best sova’s NA, but now that Sova is only picked on like two maps, I’m not sure how well he’ll do. He’s done okay but he hasn’t been putting up the numbers he was on Rise.

I feel like the way 100T play rn Derrek shouldn't really be in a position to get a ton of kills. He's pretty much a dedicated supporter playing breach and sage mostly now. Breach is kinda the most supportive agent in the game since he can't use his util for himself as efficiently as a skye or kayo, and his sage on split is usually pretty cracked. Think about in the open qualifiers and the week 2 loss vs TSM, the games where 100T didn't have super disciplined strats, or when those strats are falling apart seem to be when derrek gets the most kills, like he's the last line of firepower when games go south. Obviously it could be true he's just underperforming, but when 100T have more close games, he might pop off more.

Derrek is super consistent and underrated imo he's really been popping off on 100t. I don't recall seeing him with bad games.

I think Derrek is better for 100T. He doesn't have kills now because he's playing very supportive roles (no util for himself), but if you watch the games you can see that aim-wise, he's still just as cracked he was on Sova. His role is to setup his teammates, if he gets more kills than them it would mean one of 2 things:

1. He's having an insane pop-off game.
2. 100T is getting diffed and his teammates aren't able to do what they should be, in which case he becomes their last bit of firepower (like the TSM game).

The only thing Ethan has on Derrek is he can be a 2nd caller
Derrek tops him in every other aspect
