Is this happening? I heard some rumors then there was the post by TheValTimes which I ruled out as satire immediately. but the sign is still possible. Renegades have joust dropped their CS roster which means they have a hole in their budget, that money could go toward signing a new roster. is that's in VALORANT they are big enough of an org to pick up the ex-Luminosity roster.
Renegades could be departing the scene for good with them dropping the RNG (now girl kissers) roster, or they could have dropped them to make space for the signing. just like how ORDER dropped their CS roster to make space for the ex-RNG roster. months apart sure, but undoubtedly part of the same event. RNG is an AUS/USA org, having more AUS recognition internationally would be sick, especially when ORDER is going to APAC and the ex-Luminosity is starting to get really good, they could franchise or they could just compete in third-party tourneys. no matter what, the signing of the ex-Luminosity roster would be MASSIVE for Renegades, they deserve it. Marketing wise, Renegades are probably gonna re-brand soon, with a shift in the company they could sign a new VAL roster.
