month-long group stage just gonna be matches on weekend

people still have lives, other things to do. Fatigue is still a thing in esports and doing daily matches would have all of groups done in like 2 weeks. Theres still gonna be playoffs and what not, not to mention they need to schedule every regions events so they all end at a similar time before Masters 2.

so many pros said its just so dumb to wait 1 week for 1 game each week

The big teams need to be highlighted, I love the fact we get to see them play every team in their group

this is most likely how the franchised league will work, too. they're probably just getting used to the format for next year

Okay, you're clearly not aware that the world does not have a summer break.

Also, last year we had to wait 2 months after Reykjavik for any VCT games. This year, with the more spread out format, we had to wait a mere 4 days.

I personally would rather have spaced out, quality games so I can watch all of them thoroughly, rather than a lot of games at the same time with no commentary and have to wait a month for Masters.
