You can never be to old for stuff you like, the only change in life is what you choose to do.. Whatever you like to do wouldnt make you stop doing it because someone else thought it was childish. Just do what you like to do and dont get stuck on what others think is fun.

Of course, One Piece has 1000 episodes, Toei doesn't do a great job on most of them, since it's full of fillers and bad animation throughout the series. Compared to a seasonal anime that have all the studio has to give on it. Of course. It's gonna be better. But manga-wise One Piece is a lot better. Storywise One Piece is a lot better.

I never got past the Alabasta arc, neither in the Anime nor in the Manga...

I really want to like One Piece but I can't, idk I have started twice but it just doesn't excite me as much as Naruto for example.
So does it getter better after Alabasta?

alabasta can be a bit boring, skypiea is a lot better (one of my favs) but it gets actually good at water 7/enies lobby

On my 2nd try I did and I liked it better than the anime, so I will definitely do that.

Is there a reliable, legal, trustworthy site where all of the manga chapters are available? Until now I read the manga via (presumably) somewhat illegally uploaded copies of the manga on Kindle Unlimited & it wasn't the best experience since the image quality was rather bad. Can also be a paid service.

Alabasta is the life changing arc. You should watch the anime till after marine-ford, then you should go to the manga. Alabasta is where you really get to understand the vastiness of the One Piece world. Before that it's just a story of a group of friends. Introduction to the real stuff.

The best were the first seasons in one piece when they met each other and reached the grand line. Plus of course their first adventures there. But I can’t watch these latest seasons because for me it’s not the same One Piece (funny, not as serious and better animation/ characters) as it used to be
