Iceland or Berlin again 🤡
And still no crowd obviously 🤡

LoL is already having crowd
So crowd in LoL is safe but in Valorant no?
wtf
iMyw_ [#2]Ratio + stafety first dumbass
Multiple other esports have had events with crowds and packed stadiums and people haven't even got COVID like the Blast Fall Final. Meanwhile multiple players have still gotten Covid this Iceland even though it's a studio lan.
GLN321 [#9]bro why do you care where the event is held. It literally makes no difference for the spectator
Well, depending on where the event will be held it affects the time of matches around the world, so your first argument is invalid
And second, an event with crowd just hit different
GLN321 [#9]bro why do you care where the event is held. It literally makes no difference for the spectator
And keeping the events in the same countries/regions is just boring and doesn't give others regions that loves the game a chance

1- If they are not held in Iceland or Berlin, they would probably hold it in other european cities, so the time zones would be the same. You didn't say "European favourable time zones again" you said "Iceland or Berlin again", would you complain if it was held in London for example? because if so, you didn't specify your argument well enough.
2-I agree, but it seems like they still don't have the infrastructure to do it yet. LoL and Valorant are both Riot games, but are led by entire different teams within the company.
supernova [#11]And keeping the events in the same countries/regions is just boring and doesn't give others regions that loves the game a chance
How? They don't have spectator anyways, and the slot distribution would be the same regardless of where the event is held

1- you didn't respond to anything. just called me a dickhead. nice argument!
2- It's not an excuse, it's the reality. I didn't say it would not be nice. I said they aren't doing it and probably won't do it for this year. They can't even handle technical difficulties well already, they definitely won't be able to handle an event with thousands of spectators
GLN321 [#14]How? They don't have spectator anyways, and the slot distribution would be the same regardless of where the event is held
1st IT SHOULD HAVE CROWD
2nd It doesn't metter, moving to another region gives some fresh air, if 1 of the next 3 international LANs is in EU it's going to be boring af

Very smart move to develop the game competitive
Probably the Valorant devs working in this area are from Italy, that must be it

I didn't say it shouldn't have a crowd. I don't think you're reading what I'm saying. I'm saying the reality, they DON'T have a crowd, that's just the current reality, so if they were going to be held in asia or other regions, they would not be able to do any better considering covid restrictions and their experience on making live events there.
It barely makes a difference for the spectator. If you want to make the argument that it would be fun for the players to visit different countries then fine, but the risk-reward is not there for Riot

Nice discriminatory comment about Italians, nice! You're really smart huh?

no you don't because you just implied that the devs were dumb because they were from italy. Are you even reading what you're writing?

bro worlds was held on Iceland. And they already have pre existing infrastructure for the regional leagues in LoL. Once again, the team that handles valorant is not the same that handles LoL. They probably don't even have the same funding.

Jesus I think you can't read sometimes. It's about them not being able to. They very clearly don't have the capacities. You think if they were going to hold a LAN at India they would be able to do any better than they're currently doing? Of course it would be nice to have lans all around the world and have 100k live spectators with no technical pauses. That's just not happening and it's not realistic pretending they can. They clearly prioritize more the safety of the event more than other companies. That has nothing to do with them being stupid.
I want a similar system to what Riot does with LoL in terms of locations in the future. For Masters, hold the events in smaller region locations and then expand the Champions events to the more popular locations. For example, in 2023, the 1st Masters event could be held in Tokyo, Japan, the 2nd in Jakarta, Indonesia, and then Champions could be held in NYC, LA, Paris, Berlin, Katowice, Vancouver, etc. Now obviously not every Masters event should be like that, but it'd be interesting.

bro I literally only talked about your discriminatory comment because it's the only thing you said in your reply. And I don't know what type of mental gymnastics you're doing to try to justify your dumb comment. Just say you didn't mean it and move on. It's clearly about italian people.
supernova [#37]I knew it lmao

gweees [#3]I remember champs was supposed to be in LA hopefully they do that this year. Knowing riot they probably will just make it another studio lan.
The time of the matches for different regions get affected bro. Like for Asian countries the time of the match would be midnight and stuff. That's why I think Riot kept the matches at EU I think
