Title.
pretty much. Idk seems really bizzare to me. Like animated films all good, anime: great even. Gimme more of animated sci fi. But live action sci fi? no thanks. Even just heavy fiction at times is boring to me. I cant think of a single movie or tv show that is sci fi that I think yes give me more. I need to watch ex machina tho
Movie: Dont Look Up (tbf there's a lot of people that dislike it aswell but it's still overrated by the main public + didn't deserve best picture nomination)
Show: Suits (watched the first 6-7 episodes and it just felt like a weird watered down version of mad men but I might give it another shot in the future)
I cant assure you that it's the same thing bcz I didn't give suits enough time (sometimes these shows take time to catch the rhythm) but I definitely got similar vibes. I feel like mad men is a bit more deep in character development and in themes, while suits is a bit more "pop" and fast-paced I guess.
As to if there's a super smart guy, I guess Don Draper kinda is, but he is nowhere near the photographic memory type of genius of the suits guy. He's closer to Harvey in terms of wit and appearence. What I can say is that mad men is generally pretty consistent throughout the whole show so it's a good watch if you're looking for something long but rewarding
I powered through 9 episodes just because a girl that I liked recommended it to me, but I just found it too boring to continue lol I actually like shows where the main character is really smart and outsmarts everyone else, but idk why it just fell flat in this show for me, it's been years since I watched it, so I barely remember what it was about.
I feel like it was decent the first two seasons, nothing crazy good, but more like enjoyable, as in watching a fast paced action movie. Then they made a plot for the third season that was complete stupidity and it became a shit show since then. Tried to watch it because it's very famous in my country, but I stopped after that. At best it's an ok show, at worst it's a cringy mess that glorifies literal terrorism.
Pretty much every blockbuster out there
People love to watch movies where they're getting spoon-fed by directors, where you don't have to think or analyze anything because the film is just so corny, targeted at dumb audience and regular teenagers
Marvel is the best example, I mean how can any person above 100 iq watch that bs
I still watch the new marvel movies that pop up and every time I finish it sad because it's still shit, I liked the movies like the first spidermans and iron mans, and idk if it's because I was a kid when I first watched these or if they just in general got too repetitive. But I'm still chasing the high I got from the movies I watched 15 years ago lol
