I think this proves that all regions deserve equal chances, no direct spots for playoff, everyone has to play the group stages and take 1 spot from emea for one more from asia

the point is that there shouldn't be a direct spot for the playoffs, teams should play more matches, there is no better place in the world if you get straight to the playoffs and win 1 MD3 to be among the 8 best teams in the world

you may be right, but everyone should go through the group stage, with no advantage or guaranteed place, so we would probably have more teams able to show what they are capable of, instead of giving advantage to the favorites and in the end they can't win 1 simple MD3 of a region that until then was underestimated

He said EU, those teams are all not EU other than acend, though I don't think acend were ever good.
Somehow every team they played just got hard nerfed as if they laced the opponents'drinks with smth. Tl just completely broke down after being favourites. acend were gonna lose their first match to br but because of a harmless camera they were able to come back after still almost losing with a 7 round lead. Half their players don't show up when they need to, and their strategies are mediocre at best. Even if zeek were in to form, their biggest ace in champions(starxo) want fragging anyway so I doubt they'd make it through playoffs against FPX, FNC, g2.
Sry I'm just still pissed that they won champs

I wouldn't say it was just luck, because they ended up winning the gambit in the final, but still, as a Brazilian, it's very difficult to remember the injustice and imagine what could have happened if the victory hadn't been annulled, btw scream was abusing of the exploit to climb the yellow without using the jett skill and no one said anything about it...

Agreed. Never liked the direct playoff spots, give teams that win their regional a higher seed in groups, but make them play through groups

exactly, so the best team would be tested more and would play more maps, more weaknesses would be discovered and the level of competitiveness would increase much more, more intense games...

Totally agree. I really don't like the current VCT format at all, the regional qualifiers should be on LAN so teams can have some experience before showing up + more than 3 international events a year. We're already seeing "minor" regions proving they are just as good or better than those from EU and NA, Riot should do what they can to ensure all regions get an equal opportunity to be in playoffs and finals.
