bambamskrrt [#6]how is it copium?
I agree that JP has a lot of viewers for val. But 5x that's ridiculous.
All the most-watched matches last year included either NA or EU. And this master while JP matches got views, not nearly close to what NA or EU got previously. + If either GMB, ACE, or SEN were at this event, they would definitely get 2x more viewers than the JP matches

btw not even close 230k peek for jp playoffs NA has 40k more https://escharts.com/tournaments/valorant/vct-2022-japan-stage-1-challengers and at lans jp has more bc of the streamers that get 100k+ and the main stream for JP

you forgot that NA or Eu streams is mostly in english so most people from around the world watch it , while japan on the other hand is just one native language which only have Japanese viewer yet they're carrying the viewership hard and we're talking about this year which two most watch game this event is DRX vs zeta (516 641) and zeta vs NIP (507 602). and japanese literally carry last year games viewership too even without their team playing

I'm saying it's not even close to previous standards.

How do you say that JP viewers carried viewership stats last year? What stats you're referring to?

escharts and go to the language by peak viewers, they're literally up there behind english

I just saw that you joined this year. So you may not have seen prev stats but look at these tournies:
https://escharts.com/tournaments/valorant/vct-2021-stage-2-masters-reykjavik
https://escharts.com/tournaments/valorant/vct-2021-stage-3-masters-berlin
https://escharts.com/tournaments/valorant/valorant-champions-2021
You see what I mean, all I'm saying is that the previous standards set by EU/NA teams for viewership come nothing close to what JP teams get.

i did not join this year =) im a g2 fan since 2020 and i know about vlr since the start of 2021 and u will see tmr what im saying =) dont need to hate me for saying what i think and i will not hate what u think we will see when playoffs start

I see. I don't have pro mode to unlock but that's interesting. Let's say I do believe that there are more JP viewers right, which is fair. But my point is that this masters viewership where the JP teams peaked is nowhere close to previous peaks for NA/EU teams even though previously as u said, it could have been a lot of JP viewers. But another point is that previously, JP teams failed to do much in events, this could change
Shownu [#13]Is it me that thinks Laz can have a career in modelling for Japan? I've seen Japanese movies and he looks similar to those male leads in terms of face.
yeah he look like Kpop idol or sth . Most handsome Val pro imo

That's just because those were the teams that advanced the most in international LAN's. If it was a Japanese team in the final of an international tourney then they would have the most views as well.

Sir, I don't hate you. I am just pointing out the stats you gotta understand =')
And obviously in the future maybe JP teams might get more viewers, but so far, they haven't

I made the same point below. I'm simply stating historical stats. Cuz this guy said JP got 5x more viewership than NA/EU. But this simply hasn't happened yet, well it's not even close

I think you misunderstand his statement actually, I think what he meant from the title is just how big is valorant in japan, always carrying the viewership whether jp team is playing or not. and he think if zeta make it far in playoff the viewership gonna be insane. Its not about the matches its the fanbase

Yeah maybe. Honestly, viewership for each region just depends on the winning teams. So this argument doesn't even matter. Like for the Sentinel's flawless run at the 2nd masters, I'm sure there were many NA viewers. Same for GMB's run in the 3rd masters, I'm sure there were a lot of EU viewers. So if JP goes on to win the current masters I'm sure the majority will be JP viewers.
