Why do u guys think valorant is so unpopular In Korea and all the failure despite riot trying hard , pls explain
its not unpopular
if anything its the most mainstream FPS game amongst teenagers and high school kids
those pc bang numbers just represent .. the pc bang numbers, more and more kids are gaming from their homes which is why getting a 3080ti was kind of a flex last year
we dont really have a huge population which explains our low viewership. LoL is a exception
when it first came out, the game was unplayable for many people bc of vanguard, and that distracted most of the people from playing the game. Also, vanguard caused problems with other programs so PC room(internet cafe) owners decided to not install valorant while A LOT of students and gamers play games in PC room. Its where the game starts to get popular but vanguard messed up the chance and timing
recently many famous korean streamers started to play the game and DRX is winning the games, so i think its getting better now.

and if u wanna know why it didnt immediately pop off like overwatch
koreans think the game requires a high skill barrier to entry because theyre not used to stopping before shooting, and they fk hated cs for that, thats why it has a bad rep

I think the whole vanguard issue is bs tbh, it was fixed super quickly and only affected certain pc bangs

nop. the problem was solved but people's image of valorant plummeted for months. literally most of the pc bangs around me didnt install valorant
i mean this is the reason why valorant didnt grow as fast at the start. there are many reasons like the one you stated above and people still play sudden attack
