Imagine losing to a no strat team like LULquid that didn’t even qualify KEKWWW
tbh this post reminds me of the double standard. Everybody keeps saying xerxia and apac are tier 1, which I agree, but nobody seems to hold them to the same level of scrutiny as EMEA and NA teams. If Xerxia had won, every thread would be "drop Soulcas", "Sliggy is the problem" or "put ScreaM back on duelist", but now Liquid won, and everybody is congratulating Xerxia and showing the respect they deserve. Why is everybody so irrationally harsh on Liquid?

Because Liquid didn't qualify the way they should have. I guess that's why and they always have had haters from the beginning too.
Same situation as Acend winning after the whole VK thing and it looked less impressive.
But then again here Liquid has shown impressive performances so it's anything but fluke

this applies to literally any team from na or emea, the second a team has one bad performance against a "minor region" team this entire site immediately starts dogging on them (or the whole region in the case of what happened with optic)

I guess that's true, but the last part would be also true for other teams like OpTic, G2, The Guard, FNATIC, they would be trolled to oblivion if they lost a match but if an apac team loses everybody goes pacifist and wholesome mode

Cause APAC in general isn't as privileged as NA or EMEA
there's barely any esports culture here (strict parents)
Most people can't afford good gaming gear
Theres barely any org support
Pay is awful
The internet is dogshit
Despite all these hurdles they're beating NA and I'd say nearly on par with EMEA
