NA Val reminds me more of NA LoL than CSGO

After that Chet interview and what he said NA Val just makes me think of the path NA LoL went down. Teams might legitimately start importing players and the region won’t improve. People don’t seem to have any desire to win and more so treat pro play as something for fun. NA lol has imported so many Korean and European players and only made it out of groups 1 out of 4 of the previous worlds. It’s not the players that are holding the region back it’s the mentality. It’s at the point were the top 4 teams in NA LoL have 4 NA players between them. I could see the same thing happening to Val.

I fail to see the difference

Its some teams that are filled with huge egos and take everything as fun instead of being serious to win. If you watch C9 or TGRD, these teams actually work a lot to win and not to steal money from org or play the game for fun. With nadeshot calling shots with the 100T valo management and changes and how he stated he wants to win, there are teams that will actually do better but yeah the mentality as a whole needs to change.

I think val is more similar to LoL than to cs mainly because there's money invested with no signs of it slowing down, and there's also a lot of local viewership. I think imports are going to be inevitable, but I hope for the health of the scene that they begin with coaches that bring a change in culture and not just cracked individual players

I was really surprised when I know C9 league only scrim 2 bo3 a day, and they even allowed to cancel the scrim at night just to chill.

The similarities with NA CS and NA Val though is just the community similarities because the same pros in NA CS are now NA Val now. Majority of the scene cares more about their egos and reputations than winning. Scuffed mindsets has always been NA’s problem.

na cs wasn't dominated by brazilians?

Agree in some part, but I think the main problem is that NA valorant is still filled by ex-cs semipros that dont have the same drive as younger players that are hungrier(The Guard is the only team in NA that has shown that kind of hunger that might drive them to get great results, but I still fear that pressure might to them on LAN) some ex-cs players bloomed in valorant cause they now have the chance to win for real(im thinking mostly about yay and Asuna) but a lot of them seem to be there just because it pays better than CS, NA either needs to invest more heavily in youngsters like The guard or fix their mentality and stop chasing names instead of actual talent(Im looking at you 100T) or else they are going to end up recycling the same players over and over and never get out of the hole they dug themselves into, kinda like NA league of legends
